Greeting XangaLand... I am not good at blogging, I guess. Sorry. Just got back on Monday from a road trip. Chris and I and our friend Dave went on a random road-trip with no real destination in mind. (I've always wanted to do that) We went 3000 miles in 5 days! We were going to go to New Orleans, but the weather was awful going that route. So we went to Roswell, New Mexico, then Albuquerque, then Denver, then Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse, then home. Why Roswell? Because aliens have landed there, of course. Turns out, Roswell was the most fun part of our trip. I highly recommend the UFO museum on main street Rosewell. And their light posts have alien eyes on them. AWESOME. Why Albuquerque? Because Weird Al sings a song about it, of course. It was pretty scenery throughout New Mexico. I was hoping to find a hot-air balloon snow globe (I've wanted to go on a hot-air balloon ride since I was like 4) but no hot-air balloon snow globes in Albuquerque. And no hot-air balloon ride. Hopefully someday. Denver: La Casa Bonita. Underground HUGE Mexican restaurant...as seen on South Park. It was fun. Not as good of food as one would hope, but fun. And the grave of Bufallo Bill Cody. The mountains are pretty. (Saw a hot-air balloon in the sky as we left Denver) Crazy Horse: awesome. I wish they had the money to finish him. And I wish we had more time to spend there. Mt Rushmore: Also, I wish we had more time to spend. But I'm glad I finally saw it. I've always wanted to. But, the entire time I was there, I could not get that song from Team America: World Police out of my head. Very fun trip. I'm still exhausted from it! |
